The in-vehicle equipment such as Mobile Data Terminal (MDT), radio modem controller, and GPS will provide the following added features:

• Dispatching to the closest cab using GPS coordinates.

• Drivers can send and receive text message via the MDT.

• Text messages can be sent between drivers and the office. The dispatcher can send messages to a specific vehicle, a group of vehicles or broadcast to all vehicles in the fleet.

• Ability to broadcast canned messages to all vehicles. Canned messages allow drivers to send pre-formatted messages to the office quickly and accurately.

• MDT will display incoming messages, job offer, and job assign information accurately.

• Job offer and job assign will display the pick up and drop off addresses information on the MDT. The information displayed is pre-defined in the configuration by the administration.

• Drivers can accept credit card payment in vehicle with a high speed thermal printer and card swipe.

• Fares can be read automatically from the taximeter.

• Drivers can request status from the base for the number of cabs available in each zone, number of jobs available in each zone. The status information will be displayed on the MDT.

• For drivers safety, a hidden emergency switch in the vehicle can be pressed when the driver is in distress. This will automatically triggers the alarm with sound and flashing screen at the office computer. Using the pursuit function of the AVL Map software, the office personnel can track and provide accurate location of the distress vehicle in real time to the police or emergency rescue team for assistance.

• The AVL Map software at the office computer displays the location of all vehicles in your fleet on a comprehensive street map.

• Map replay capability allows you to replay where the vehicle was at any given time.
